Free Writing Night - Writing for Peace

Join the Writing for Peace Night to explore your creative side and dedicate an evening to writing about peace. Taking place within the Just Peace Festival programme, this event aims to start an authentic reflection process about peace: what do we understand when we talk about peace? What feelings does it evoke? How can we put it into writing?

​In days when we feel powerless against the scale of human suffering and the dark rise of authoritarianism, this event hopes to be a platform for meaningful reflection and expression of these feelings.

  • If you would like to join only for the Writing Night, feel free to arrive at 19.30.

Costs?
This event is entirely free of charge, as our goal is to make creative expression accessible and provide a third space for all those that wish to write at night. If you can, please do try to order drinks or food at our lovely venue, Grand Cafe Utopie, as they are offering it for this event for free.

Ground Rules
This is an inclusive and safe space for all backgrounds, genders and ethnicities. Please keep quiet during the writing periods to allow for concentration. During the chat breaks, remember to be respectful of all participants. We want to create an environment that allows everyone to be vulnerable and authentic. Join us if you're ready to explore this side of you!
